Does anyone know what happened to all of the tapes that Shep left at his home in Florida and the material that was in his cabin in Maine? There must have been some treasures there.

I believe the material in his Sanibel, Florida home was picked up by Mr. Irwin Zwilling. He was Shep's attorney and friend, and was named as a benefactor in Shep's will. Randall Shepherd later came to the home. I'm not sure what he got except some memorabilia. I got there the following January, I believe. I didn't enter the home, though I probably could have. I was able to see some items around the house from the outside, but nothing important like tapes.
I've wondered what Mr. Zwilling was doing with the tapes. Conceivably it is quite a collection, though I can't know that. He could, of course, sell them. Or he could package them as a syndicated radio show, which, I think, would have quite an audience. Last year I heard Barry Farber on his show say that if Jean Shepherd were around today and in syndication, he would blow away anything else in the business. I agree.
