12-03-2010 ( Reply#: 6272 )	Tom J	I was always a White Sox fan as a kid, not a Cubs fan, but I think EVERYONE liked Ron Santo. It's a shame he didn't get voted into the Hall of Fame before he died. He sure loved the Cubs. Tom

Ron Santo had a, Higher AVE than 3 ...Better OBP than 3 Better SLG than 7 More HR's than 8 More RBI's than 6 More RUNS than 5 And Believe it or not more SB than 2 Shame on those that didn't give him this truly earned honor while he was alive.
12-04-2010 ( Reply#: 6275 )	Tom J	Yeah, James, it IS a shame. They will probably vote him in now that he is gone. I hope they do, but for Ron's sake, I wish it had happened while he was alive. I miss those days before free agency when a player would stay with the same team for his whole career. It was nice to get to know the players on your favorite team and to know that they would be back year after year. Tom
