I thank all of you for your prayers.
Georgeann is OK with my telling you folks that she has uterine cancer, and the type she has is not the common type that 90% of the uterine cancer victims have. Unfortunately, her type falls into the 10% group, and all of those are much more serious than is the common type.
I feel that the more specific the prayer is, the more powerful the prayer is, and that is why I felt it was important for you Sheptalk buddies to know what is wrong.
God bless all of you. I will keep you guys posted as we learn things.

Thanks for all the prayers, Everyone.
Another piece of good news! The cancer doc wasn't satisfied that the chest X-ray looked good, and he ordered a CT scan of the chest. We got those results yesterday, and nothing suspicious showed up!
So, a chest X-ray, a chest CT scan, and an abdominal CT scan have all looked good. Thank You, Lord!
Tuesday, May 25th, is the day of the surgery. Let's pray that all of the cancer will be removed with the uterus.
Thanks again.

I understand what you are experiencing. My wife and I have both faced cancer crises, and I know how scary it is.
Don't give up. Gather all the information that you can on the diagnosis, prognosis and available treatments. Medical knowledge about cancers and their treatments is increasing at an exponential rate, so do not assume that your wife's doctor is aware of the latest information.
Also, stay positive. From personal experience, I know that this is not easy. If you want to discuss anything, you have my personal email address.

Thanks, Paddy. I thank all of you for your expressions of support and for your prayers.
As you dear friends pray for Georgeann and me, I ask you to also remember the member of our Sheptalk family who has recently experienced that same loss that I fear. Remember Ken (WVCOGS), who lost his beloved wife, Judy, just a few weeks ago. They had known one another for 52 years and had been married the last 47 of those years.
Let's also remember Larry Rapchak (Hassobensoba)who lost his dear brother, Mike (Pro2am), who was also a Sheptalk member in January.

Sheptalk Family:
The surgery went well today, and the doc said that he could see no visible evidence that the cancer had spread beyond the uterus. Thank You, Lord!
Lab test results on the lymph nodes that were removed should be in early next week. Let's all be praying for favorable results on those tests.
I thank each of you for your concern and for your prayers. I will keep you posted as things progress.

Georgeann got to come home today. Her recovery from the surgery is going well.
We are scheduled to go back to her doctor on June 14th for consultation. By then they will have the pathology report and will know what treatment protocol they will want to follow. I guess it is almost certain that they will want to do chemo or radiation as a precaution, even if the lymph nodes were free of cancer.
Thanks for all the prayers, and please keep them going up.

Tom,
Glad she is home and feeling as good as can be expected after any operation--and with the prospects of further treatment on both your minds--know that prayers are still going up for each of you that you are strengthened and experience peace in this most difficult time.

Praise God! Thank You, Lord!
We had our visit with Dr. Metzinger today, and the news was absolutely the best we could hope for! There was no cancer in the lymph nodes that were sent off for testing.
Dr. Metzinger wants Georgeann to have six weeks of radiation, five days a week. He wants to do that as a precaution, even though all indications are that the cancer had not spread.
Georgeann and I offer our sincere thanks to each of you who has prayed about this. Thank you so very much!

I rejoice with you and Georgeann, Tom. You can now breath deeply again. Continued prayers for Georgeann and you as the radiation regimen is undertaken.
