Hobbies? Date: 09-03-2009 By: BobK	I guess I can start. I/we have been riding Honda Gold Wings since 1985. In 2001 I had the Wing converted to a trike and in 2006 I bought a new one already triked. We have ridden in every state except Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California & Nevada and all the Canadian Provences except the Maritime Provinces. There is an off road area down at Kentucky Lake called Turkey Bay Off Highway Vehicle Area, and that's where I do most of my "wheelin'," as we call it. (That's short for four wheeling.) I don't get on like I used to but still enjoy getting on the air. My favorite mode of communications, Morse Code(CW). Any other hams on here? Joel Miner W9WJU
09-05-2009 ( Reply#: 3741 )	Pro2am	Does this involve hobbies we have today or had back in the "good old days"? My current hobby (more a sport/passion) is railroad photography. I always wanted to take good photos of trains, locomotives, etc. I really got into it in early 2002. The rest, as they say is history. Back when I was a kid (1950s, '60s) my hobbies/passions were mainly dinosarus (begining around 1957) and astronomy. The dinos have kind of faded but the astronomy bug still bites. Music, art (drawing, etc.), and writing (I wrote science fiction storis back in the late '50s and mid-'60s) are more what I consider skills/talents, etc., than hobbies, but I guess I'll throw them in here, too. And although I am currently using ebay as a hobby to sell and buy stuff, I am investigating expanding this into a full-time work-from-home business.
