Spaghetti Sauce

I seriously doubt that this will transport you to Sunny Italy--I got the recipe off of a box of Mueller's Spaghetti many years ago and it has probably mutated in my memory a bit since then: 1 lb. ground beef (I use ground sirloin) 1/2 cup chopped onion 3 cloves of garlic, minced 2 large cans whole, peeled tomatoes 1 small can tomato paste 1/8 tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp oregano 1/4 tsp basil 1 tsp salt 2 tbsps sugar Brown the beef, onion, and garlic together, then drain off excess fat and juices. Add the whole tomatoes, chopping them up with the edge of a large spoon, the can of tomato sauce, and then the seasonings. Combine thoroughly and then allow to cook slowly over medium-low heat, for an hour if possible. Nothing terribly Italian about it, but it seems to keep most people I know happy . . . 0
