"Bangers and mash"

O.k...Here's an English and Irish recipe.
Fry 2 lbs of sausage links in a skillet with a whole, chopped onion.
Make a cup of brown gravy from a mix.
Make mashed potatoes equalling 8 potatoes.(I cheated, used Hungry Jack)
Pour half of the brown gravy in the bottom of a casserole/baking dish.
Put the sausage and onions in the same dish.
Cover the sausages and onions with the mashed potatoes.
Pour the remainder of the brown gravy over all.
Bake in oven at 425 for 20-30 minutes,till is golden brown.
Have fun.
8 potatoes (or instant mashed)
2 lbs link sausage. (Smoked sausage works too !)
1 large onion.
1 packet brown gravy mix.(Can gravy is o.k.)
salt and pepper
butter/margerine for the potatoes [:p]
