As somebody who celebrating his 45 r.p.m. birthday next month[:0], I'm very happy to say that "I Can't Stop Loving You" by Ray Charles was #1 on the day of my birth. |

On the day I was born, Glenn Miller was playing the number one song, "I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo." A few months earlier on the day my wife was born it was Artie Shaw's "Frenesi." That's one I never heard of. How about some of the rest of you: SVEA, SJ, CJ, Lynn, Tom, and others, what was the number one song on your birth date?
By the way disco, unlike yours, these two were not on 45 r.p.m. They were 78s.

"I'll Never Smile Again" by Tommy Dorsey! [:D]
And, you had to wind the "Victrola" to play the record, in the year of my birth--at least my Aunt and Uncle had to do that!

Also, you might find the following site interesting--dates in history--same format as the music site.

Here's a cool website that lists the number one songs for each year on the date you select. Want to see which songs were number one each year on your birthday? Select your birth month and date, and a list will come up showing the number one song on that date for each year.
Have fun.
