I listened to the show that Max broadcast several weeks ago that had Shep discussing the joys of NY Delis (which I believe was originally broadcast circa 1972 by my best guess) & I noticed two things: 1. In one of his tales regarding NY Delis, he mentioned Herb Gardner and A Thousand Clowns, which was surprising to me, knowing how his friendship w/Mr. Gardner ended over A Thousand Clowns; and 2. Shep made the comment to the effect that people thought that he came back to Hammond, IN every week & talk to Flick, which, he said was "the last thing he wanted to do." Thanks again to Max for broadcasting the show & Jim for putting it on the Net (& I hope he feels better [:)])
