my friends and i watched son of svengoolie every week

well he is still on the air and i was wondering if anyone here has been watching him over the years and possibly taping the shows

i would like to start collecting them if possible

Was it Shock Theater?

The original Sven was Jerry G. Bishop, a local DJ on AM station WCFL, who got into UHF television with his own show and also Sven either Friday or Saturday nights... there were two other latenight Monster Movie shows in Chicago back then... "Creature Features" and... dang it, can't remember what the other one was! Can anyone help jog my memory there?

yeah i have seen that book

i grew up a little later than you

the son of svengoolie is actually a spin off of an earlier horror host called svengoolie who was on the air in chicago in the '70's

As a kid, I never heard of Svengoolie--in my time, late 50's-early 60s I occasionally got to stay up late and watch "Shock Theater," with Orville and Shorty--but I do know there's a book on Amazon about Svengoolie and other Chicago area horror shows. Check it out.
